Methods to replace Unit Test

All parents and students seems to cheer not only because of completion of their exams , but a great sign of releif to them by Headlines in major News papers about Removal of unit Test for std I to VIII.

Hushssssssss........

A great relief to all.
But is that useful to our new generation?
Which methods will replace current education module ?
Will they be make students more intelligent , not only to score ?

A huge list of question flashed in my mind.

Our Education system need a big revolution and that can be possible when we discard grading system depending upon the marks obtained in exams. There are many example where high scoring fails to execute in real life.

First we need to change our mentality towards education. All of us (most of us) might have watched movie "3 idiots", do we remember dilogues from Mr. aamir khan ?
We have to make our education system such that it should make our new generation to develope themself through education, not only mugup text books.....

If Unit test are removed from the academic of students , will they took interest in studies?

This is big question, and will create a major problem. I think there is solution for it tooo. In our engineering days we had assignments like doing some small project , presentation etc..., n that depending our syllabus. If school implements assignments such as science, environmental project , social services which can improve learning of students along with text books; making students more interactive with help of seminar presentation; then only ... then only These efforts of state government will be fruitful.
